Prestigious History Bonus
Our building started life as Hornbeam House originally being built by I.C.I Fibres in the 1960`s.
I.C.I Fibres occupied all of the Hornbeam Business Park and numerous buildings still remain on the site that formed their Fibres Division which up until its demise in the late 1980`s was the major private employer in Harrogate.
Our building was originally the “The Research and Development Centre” for the division. One rumoured claim to fame was that the fabric “Crimpline” was invented and developed in our building, its name taking recognition of the Crimple Beck located in the Crimple Valley adjacent to Hornbeam Park.
Continuing the theme and in recognition of the original building intention we have refurbished Hornbeam House and renamed it “The Innovation Centre” to attract proactive and forward thinking companies and individuals to take advantage of our affordable and flexible office space.
